We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

• Booking data: first name, last name, email address, phone number, ski level, age group, special needs or notes, and requested lesson dates.

• Payment data: payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card details; only a payment reference and status are retained.

• Website usage data: aggregated, anonymised browsing statistics collected by Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, only when you have given your consent.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under Art. 6 GDPR:

• Booking and payment data: Art. 6(1)(b) — processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (your booking) or pre-contractual steps taken at your request.

• Analytics data: Art. 6(1)(a) — processing is based on your freely given, specific, and informed consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

• Photos and videos: Art. 6(1)(a) — if we photograph or record a session for promotional purposes, we will request your explicit written consent beforehand. You may refuse or withdraw consent without any consequence to your booking.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary:

• Booking and payment records: up to 10 years to comply with Swiss accounting and tax obligations (Art. 958f Swiss Code of Obligations).

• Analytics data: retained according to Vercel's data retention policy (typically 90 days for raw event data).

• Consent records (cookie preferences): stored locally in your browser and cleared when you clear browser storage.

After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

Third Parties & Data Sharing

We share your personal data only with the following service providers, solely to deliver our services:

• Stripe, Inc. (USA) — payment processing. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data. See stripe.com/privacy.

• Vercel, Inc. (USA) — website hosting and analytics (only with your consent). See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

International Data Transfers

Stripe and Vercel are US-based companies. When your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).

• Right of access — obtain a copy of the data we hold about you.

• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data where there is no overriding legal obligation to retain it.

• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time (for analytics or photo/video use) without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

• Right to lodge a complaint — you may file a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at edoeb.admin.ch, or with your local EU data protection authority.

Photos & Videos

Instructors may photograph or record lessons for personal or instructional use. Any use of photos or videos for promotional or marketing purposes (including on social media or our website) requires your prior explicit written consent. You may refuse this use without any consequence. If consent was given, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us; any unpublished material will be removed upon request.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure hosting infrastructure through Vercel.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by Swiss law, in particular the Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), and is consistent with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts at the School's registered location.
